Sudan condemns Istanbul's Ataturk airport attack

KHARTOUM, June 29 (Xinhua) -- The Sudanese government on Wednesday condemned the explosions at Istanbul's Ataturk airport, which killed and injured hundreds of Turkish and foreign citizens.

"The ministry, condemning this terrorist and criminal act, expresses condolences to the Turkish government and people and the families of the victims," Sudan's Foreign Ministry said in a statement Wednesday.

"The terrorist acts will only increase the determination of the Turkish security authorities to combat extremism and criminality," it added.

Meanwhile, the ministry said all the Sudanese citizens and members of the Sudanese Consulate in Istanbul are fine and have not been harmed in the terrorist explosion.

At least 41 people were killed on Tuesday evening when suicide bombers randomly opened fire at passengers and police officers at Ataturk International Airport in Turkey's Istanbul city before they detonate themselves. Enditem
