BEIJING, July 1 (Xinhua) -- Lu Ziyue, former mayor of Ningbo in east China's Zhejiang Province, is under investigation by prosecutors on suspicion of accepting bribes.
The Supreme People's Procuratorate announced on Friday that it has decided to take "coercive measures" against Lu. The investigation is under way.
According to Chinese law, "coercive measures" may include summons by force, bail, residential surveillance, detention or arrest.
