DAMASCUS, July 5 (Xinhua) -- A booby trapped motorcycle went off near a bakery store in Syria's northeastern province of al-Hasakah on Tuesday, killing 10 and wounding 26 others, state news agency SANA reported.
The blast hit near a bakery in the Salhiyeh neighborhood and left many wounded people in critical conditions, said the report.
Meanwhile, other unofficial news outlets placed the death toll at 16.
Al-Hasakah has witnessed several deadly bombings throughout the country's five-year-old conflict with the Islamic State (IS) group claiming responsibility.
Much of that province is under the control of the Kurdish People Protection Units (YPG), which is engaged in battles against the IS on several fronts in northern Syria. Enditem
