DHAKA, July 7 (Xinhua) -- After a video where three Bangla-speaking men are seen commending Dhaka's cafe attackers and threatening more attacks in Bangladesh went viral on social media, Bangladesh police has warned of stern action against those sharing any such content which indulges militant activity.

Bangladesh police spokesman AKM Shahidur Rahman in a statement on Thursday issued the formal warning.

"Uploading, sharing, liking and commenting on any video, photo and news involving Islamic State or militancy are punishable offences under the law," he said in the statement.

Jihadist threat monitoring portal, SITE Intelligence Group, released the video Wednesday night which is believed to be recorded in the Syrian city of Raqqah a day after the Gulshan cafe attack on July 1 in which 22 people including 18 foreigners and two police officers were killed.

The video is the latest since gunmen stormed the Spanish Holey Artisan Bakery.

In the video the militant suspects threatened to repeat what happened on July 1 and sought public favor in support of their so-called jihad in Bangladesh.
