VLADIVOSTOK, Russia, July 20 (Xinhua) -- A huge wildfire covering an area of more than 3,000 hectares of woods at a world natural heritage site has been extinguished in Yakutia in Russia's Far East, the local forestry department said Wednesday.
The wildfire has been raging in the Lena Pillars Nature Park since June 28, the department said.
Yakutia has witnessed 109 wildfires covering 8,000 hectares so far this year.
