NOUAKCHOTT, 25 July (Xinhua) -- AU Chairman Idriss Deby Itno called for joint efforts of Africa Union (AU) and Arab League (AL) to combat terrorism at the ongoing AL Summit in Nouakchott, capital of Mauritania on Monday.
Deby, who is also president of Chad, said his country also suffered from aftermath of crises in Libya and Somalia.
"Terrorism is the biggest problem that the world confronts and continues jeopardizing security and stability of many countries, leading to peoples' desperation," he said.
Chad is one of the countries cooperating with France in the battle against terrorist groups in the North of Mali.
Deby also invited Arabic investors to explore opportunities in the continent of Africa to contribute to its economic development. Enditem
