Chinese premier extends condolences over terrorist attack in Afghanistan

BEIJING, July 26 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Li Keqiang has sent a message of condolences to Afghan Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah over a deadly terrorist attack.

In the message, Li said he was shocked by the attack in Kabul that had caused heavy casualties, adding that China strongly condemned it.

Li, on behalf of the Chinese government, extended deep condolences to the families of the victims while expressing sympathy to the injured.

China firmly opposes terrorism of all forms and will continue to firmly support the Afghanistan government's unremitting efforts to maintain national security and stability and to crack down on terrorism.

Two explosions occurred on Saturday in Kabul targeting a peaceful demonstration, killing at least 80 people while injuring over 200.
