HANOI, Aug. 4 (Xinhua) -- A four-storey building in Vietnam's capital Hanoi collapsed on Thursday morning local time, killing one person and injuring several others, local media reported.
The building at Cua Bac street in Hanoi collapsed at around 3:30 a.m. local time Thursday morning (20:30 GMT on Wednesday). According to local people, the building was constructed in 1980s. Meanwhile, the neighboring house was conducting excavation for construction.
One person was reportedly died, said local VNExpress online newspaper.
Meanwhile, Vietnam's state-run news agency reported that other victims had been rescued out of the rubble.
There were eight people inside the building when the incident occurred.
Hanoi authorities have sent forces to the site for rescue mission.
