ANKARA, Aug. 15 (Xinhua) -- A huge explosion hit a police checkpoint in Turkey's southeastern province of Diyarbakir around noon on Monday, local media reported.
The blast occurred near a traffic police station in Sukurlu, a village in Diyarbakir, Dogan News Agency reported.
Emergency crew were working at the scene, and local media said there may be heavy casualties.
