JAKARTA, Aug. 16 (Xinhua) -- A local unit of the Indonesian Police's counter-terrorism squad (Densus 88) has detained two terrorist suspects in Sumatra's Lampung province, reports said on Tuesday.
Adjunct Senior Commissioner Dono Sembodo, chief of the Central Lampung District Police, was quoted by state news agency Antara as saying his officers had nabbed two men on Monday night and put them into the custody of Lampung Provincial Police.
According to reports, police have identified the suspects as Dwiatmoko and Abu who are currently being questioned by investigators.
Indonesian President Joko Widodo has put tackling terrorism as a top priority ever since he took office in October 2014, saying that "terrorism does not have a place in this country."
Last month, Indonesia's most-wanted terrorist Santoso was shot dead by officers from the police and army after hiding for years in the vast jungle in eastern Indonesia.
