MINSK, Aug. 25 (Xinhua) -- Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko plans to visit Pakistan in October for talks with the country's Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, the Belarusian leader's press service said on Thursday.

"We would like, and Nawaz (Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif) has told me so, to lay an extensive trade and economic foundation for our political, personal relations. Our states supplement one another. We should build a bridge of economic cooperation," Lukashenko said at a meeting with Pakistani Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Syed Tariq Fatemi in Minsk .

Belarusian president stressed that Belarus is proud to have such a powerful and influential friend like Pakistan.

Lukashenko said he expected to consider numerous matters, including perspectives, during his upcoming visit to Pakistan. For instance, it will be necessary to discuss relations with third countries, he said.

"Such as, both you and we have perfect relations with China. And also with Russia. You and we have a kind relationship, it is absolutely wonderful. This can give us great benefits and be advantageous for those countries, as well," the chief of state said.

The year 2015 was a crucial moment in bilateral interaction as Lukashenko paid the first-ever official visit to Pakistan in May, and Sharif visited Minsk in August. Enditem
