ST. PETERSBURG, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) -- More than 100 people from Russia, China, Belarus, Ukraine, Italy, Slovakia, France, Germany and other countries participate in the Ship Modelling World Championship that began on Monday in Kaliningrad, in the Northwest Russia.
The Championship is hosted by the World Ocean Museum. The Museum press service reports that 250 models are being demonstrated during the competition. The average cost of each of those models is about 15,000 U.S. dollars, and earning additional points during the World Championship increases the cost of participants' works even more.
Winners of the Ship Modelling World Championship will be announced on Sept. 11.
