HANOI, Sept. 13 (Xinhua) -- The 12th Vietnam Motor Show is expected to take place in Vietnam's capital Hanoi from Oct. 5 to 10, with nearly 100 car models on display, said the organizer on Tuesday.
As many as 12 brands of nine members of Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA) will showcase their products in an exhibiting area of 15,000 square meters.
Under the theme "Accelerate-Celebrate," the show will provide chances for customers to discover new car models with advanced technologies, said the organizer at a press conference on the event on Tuesday.
According to VAMA, the event will focus on quality cars at affordable prices for the majority of Vietnamese people.
VAMA statistics showed that as of August 2016, a total of 187,407 automobiles were sold in Vietnam, up 32 percent year-on-year.
The country's auto consumption is forecast to surpass 260,000 units in 2016, said VAMA.
