JAKARTA, Sept. 20 (Xinhua) -- A shallow moderate quake measuring 5.6 Richter scale rocked Papua in easternmost of Indonesia on Tuesday evening, but it was not potential for tsunami, the meteorology and geophysics agency said here.
The quake struck at 20:10 p.m. Jakarta time (03:10 GMT) with epicenter at 82 km northeast Mamberamo Tengah of Papua and with the depth at 10 km under sea bed, an official of the agency told Xinhua by phone.
Indonesia is prone to quake as it sits on a vulnerable quake-hit zone so called "the Pacific Rig of Fire." Enditem
