JAKARTA, Oct. 14 (Xinhua) -- Indonesian President Joko Widodo has extended the nation's deepest condolence to Thailand government and people for the passing of Thai King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
"On behalf of Indonesian government and people, I express our deepest condolence for the passing of King Bhumibol Adulyadej," the Indonesian president said on Thursday night.
President Widodo said that simplicity and love of Bhumibol for his people can be memorized as an exemplary behavior.
"The world has lost a leader who was close to his people, bring about unity and prosperity for the people of Thailand," the president said.
King Bhumibol Adulyadej who held Thai throne for more than 70 years passed away on Thursday afternoon at the age of 88.
