BEIJING, Oct. 23 (Xinhua) -- A senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on Sunday called on Chinese literary and artistic workers to promote the "Long March spirit" in their creations.
Liu Qibao, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and head of the CPC Central Committee's Publicity Department, made the remarks when visiting an art exhibition to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Long March.
Liu talked with the artists at the exhibition and expressed appreciation for their works that has "reconstructed the glorious history of the Long March and highlighted the great spiritual strength of revolutionary ideal."
He called on the artists to draw inspiration from the revolutionary tradition and produce more works to pool strength for the realization of the Chinese dream.
