BEIJING, Nov. 2 (Xinhua) -- The Communist Party of China (CPC) on Wednesday publicized two documents that will guide the political life and supervision within the Party.

The documents, which were approved at the sixth plenary session of the 18th CPC Central Committee last week, include the norms of the political life within the Party under the new situation and a regulation on intra-Party supervision.

The two documents were introduced to supplement the layout of the CPC's "Four Comprehensives," a strategy to promote reform and opening up, refine the socialist modernization drive, as well as to adhere to and develop socialism with Chinese characteristics, Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, said while briefing the meeting on the documents.

The "Four Comprehensives" are the comprehensive building of an all-round moderately prosperous society, deepening of reform, advancement of the rule of law and strict governing of the CPC.

The documents were born out of a necessity to promote the comprehensive and strict governance of the Party, and to solve outstanding contradictions and problems within the Party, Xi said.
