Powerhouse Xinjiang claim fourth straight CBA win

BEIJING, Nov. 6 (Xinhua) -- Xinjiang crushed Zhejiang 109-87 for their fourth straight win at the fourth round of the 2016-2017 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Sunday.

The third-placed team of last season led since the second quarter with Andray Blatche and Darius Adams combining for 56 points and 20 rebounds.

Liaoning, last season's runners-up, saw their winning streak this season snapped by Guangdong in the 124-115 game. The two giants tied 107-107 in normal time with Liaoning point guard Zhao Jiwei out for six fouls.

In extra time, Guangdong had an 8-0 run before sealing the victory. Yi Jianlian, recently waived by the Los Angeles Lakers, scored a game-high 42 points, while Liaoning's Lester Hudson earned a team-high 38 points and his teammate Randolph had 26 points and 20 rebounds.

In Sunday's other games, Tianjin upset Shanxi 121-112, Shenzhen smashed Jilin 108-88, Guangsha beat Qingdao 102-85, Fujian lost to Jiangsu 93-117, Aolong edged Bayi 87-84, Shanghai downed Guangzhou 92-80 for their fourth straight win, Beijing beat Shandong 106-89, defending champions Sichuan defeated Tongxi 108-91.
