THE HAGUE, Nov. 18 (Xinhua) -- Several people were injured when a train derailed after colliding with a truck in the north of the Netherlands on Friday, the police said.
Dutch regional news outlet RTV Noord reported that the driver of the milk truck remained unharmed, while several people on the train got injured. At the moment, it is not known how many people were on the train.
The truck was carrying milk and came from a farmyard when it collided with the approaching train, most probably at an unguarded railway, Dutch police said.
The accident happened near the village of Winsum, as the train was on its way between the northern city of Groningen and the country's most northern train station of Roodeschool.
