SINGAPORE, Jan. 11 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks finished lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 5.08 points, or 0.17 percent, to close at 3,000.94.
A total of 1.75 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1.19 billion Singapore dollars (831.3 million U.S. dollars).
Decliners outnumbered gainers 233 to 206, while 650 others finished unchanged.
The STI index gained 24.48 points, or 0.82 percent, to close at 3,006.02 on Tuesday.
