TIRANA, Jan. 26 (Xinhua) -- There are about 15,600 businesses registered for the first time in Albania's fiscal administration during 2016, the data published by the General Taxation Directorate showed Thursday.
The data also showed that the number of deregistered businesses was about 1,100.
Anti-informality action taken by the Albanian government has raised awareness among business to register at the tax administration, officials from Tax Directorate told local media.
According to them, this is expected to have a positive impact on state income.
Sources from the directorate general also said that there is also an increase of about 94,000 in the number of employees paying social insurance and health contributions.
The number of declared employees reached at 606,000 in December 2016, from 512,000 in June 2016, data showed. Enditem
