WARSAW, Feb. 2 (Xinhua) -- The Visegrad Group (V4) countries agree on all the key issues regarding the enhanced European defense and NATO as a guarantee of peace and security, Polish Minister of National Defense, Antoni Macierewicz said on Thursday.
The defense ministers meeting of the V4, namely Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic, and Poland, was held in Niepolomice, southern Poland.
According to Polish Press Agency, the V4 ministers discussed also the V4 EU Battle group, which is to begin next duty in 2019, its structure and activities.
Czech Republic Defense Minister Martin Stropnicky stated that the V4 should play a stabilization role in the region, while Hungary Deputy Defense Minister Tamas Vargha declared that Hungary would always protect the EU borders.
In a joint declaration, the ministers also referred to the migration problem, necessity of implementation of Warsaw NATO Summit resolutions and further support for the Common European Policy on Security and Defense.
