Source: Xinhua   2017-02-08 02:18:56

UNITED NATIONS, Feb. 7 (Xinhua) -- The United Nations on Tuesday condemned a suicide attack outside the Afghan Supreme Court in the capital city of Kabul, saying "such despicable acts must face justice."

Earlier on Tuesday, at least 13 people have been confirmed dead and 25 others injured as a suicide bomber blew himself up next to the gate of the Supreme Court.

No group has so far claimed responsibility for the deadly attack.

UN Spokesperson Stephane Dujarric told a daily briefing that "indiscriminate attacks against civilians, including employees of the judicial institutions, are violations of human rights and international humanitarian law and cannot be justified."

"We express our condolences to the families of the victims and convey our solidarity to the Government and people of Afghanistan," said Dujarric.
