BANGKOK, Feb. 15 (Xinhua) -- A chain collision involving four vehicles killed nine people on Wednesday in northern Thailand, local media reported.
The accident happened Wednesday afternoon in Chiang Rai when a cement truck veered off the road median strip and collided with an incoming van and a car behind it.
According to Thairath Newspaper, the truck was swerving out of its lane just to avoid rear-ending a motorbike. The van hit was carrying nine people. A pickup was involved in the crash as it failed to brake.
