Pakistan condemns terrorist attacks in Kabul

ISLAMABAD, March 2 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan on Thursday condemned the latest terrorist attacks in Kabul, which killed at least 15 people and injured dozens.

The Taliban claimed the deadly attacks on targets including a police headquarters in the western part of the Afghan capital city.

"Pakistan strongly condemns horrific suicide attacks on March 1st 2017 in Kabul," a Foreign Ministry spokesman said.

"We convey our heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and prayers for early recovery of the injured," the spokesman said in a statement.

He reiterated Pakistan's unequivocal condemnation of terrorism in all forms and manifestations and reaffirms its commitment for unrelenting efforts and cooperation with the Afghan government and international community for eliminating this menace.

Earlier Wednesday, a suicide car bomber struck an Afghan police precinct in western Kabul, reports said.

Shortly after the attack, a suicide bomber blew himself up at the gates of an Afghan intelligence agency branch in eastern Kabul as another attacker was gunned down while trying to enter the compound.
