Malaysia's foreign reserves at 95.0 bln USD

KUALA LUMPUR, March 7 (Xinhua) -- Malaysia's central bank, Bank Negara, said Tuesday that its international reserves amounted to 426.3 billion ringgit (95.0 billion U.S. dollars) as of Feb. 28.

The international reserves were consisted of 87.9 billion U.S. dollars in foreign currency reserves, 0.8 billion U.S. dollars in International Monetary Fund (IMF) Reserves Position, 1.1 billion U.S. dollars in Special Drawing Rights (SDRs), 1.4 billion U.S. dollars in gold and 3.8 billion U.S. dollars in other reserves assets.

Its reserves position is sufficient to finance 8.5 months of retained imports and is 1.1times the short-term external debt.
