TOKYO, March 14 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks edged lower Tuesday morning as a circumspect mood was evident ahead of the U.S. Federal Reserve's two-day policy meeting.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average shed 14.61 points, or 0.07 percent, from Monday to 19,619.14.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, lost 2.34 points, or 0.15 percent, to 1,575.06.
Issues among the biggest decliners comprised service, real estate, information and communication-linked stocks.
