TOKYO, March 22 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo shares tumbled Wednesday morning, with the Nikkei index dropping over two percent on concerns over implementation of U.S. President Donald Trump's economic policies and reports on missile launches of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average shed 390.51 points, or 2.01 percent, from Tuesday to 19,065.37.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 29.52 points, or 1.89 percent, to 1,533.90.
Decliners were led by insurance, securities and marine transportation issues.
