BEIJING, March 24 (Xinhua) -- Chinese shares closed higher on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.64 percent to 3,269.45 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index climbed 0.6 percent to end at 10,646.72 points. The ChiNext Index, which tracks China's high-growth enterprises, gained 0.86 percent to close at 1,965.14 points.
