SINGAPORE, March 24 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks finished higher on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 15.97 points, or 0.51 percent, to close at 3,142.90.
A total of 2.25 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1.10 billion Singapore dollars (789 million U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered decliners 255 to 200.
The STI index up 8.74 points, or 0.28 percent, to close at 3,126.93 on Thursday.
