BOAO, Hainan, March 25 (Xinhua) -- China's sound economic fundamentals remains unchanged despite the economy has entered a new normal period, Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli said on Saturday.
The country's economy is steady despite ongoing major shifts in economic pattern, structure and momentum, Zhang said when delivering a keynote speech at the 2017 annual conference of the Boao Forum for Asia, held in China's Hainan Province.
Bucking a sluggish world economy, China's GDP expanded 6.7 percent year on year in 2016, contributing to more than 30 percent of global economic growth, with better-than-expected employment.
