KABUL, March 29 (Xinhua) -- A business tycoon from Saudi Arabia is keen in investment in the militancy-plagued Afghanistan, local media reported on Wednesday.
Daily Outlook newspaper reported that Walid Bin Talal from the royal family of Saudi Arabia, in meeting with Afghan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani here at the Presidential Palace on Tuesday, discussed investment opportunities in Afghanistan and evinced interest in investment in infrastructure projects in the conflict-hit country.
The renown business tycoon stated in the meeting that some global investment companies are also interested in investments in Afghanistan.
Hailing the Saudi Arabia's businessman for likely investment in Afghanistan, Ghani noted that Muslim countries cooperation and investment to alleviate poverty is welcomed.
