Chinese Cinema Week starts in Sofia

SOFIA, April 20 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Cinema Week kicked off here on Thursday with Jackie Chan's movie "Xinhai Revolution" and a Bulgarian edition of his autobiography "Jackie Chan: Never Grow Up, Only Get Older."

It was the third consecutive year for the event to be held in the Cinema House in Sofia. It was organized by the Confucius Institute in Sofia in cooperation with the Cinema House,

Addressing the event, Aksiniya Koleva, Bulgarian Director of the Confucius Institute in Sofia, said that this festival is the best way to introduce Chinese cinema and Chinese history, and present life to the Bulgarian audience.

As for the autobiography, Luben Kozarev, president of the book's publisher East-West, said that he saw in it the man who has a lot of fans in Bulgaria.

In the sidelines of the event, the public can also see a photo exhibition "China in the eyes of the Bulgarian."
