SUVA, May 4 (Xinhua) -- The Fijian Tourism Expo (FTE), the country's premier tourism industry event, kicked off here on Thursday.
Year 2017 marks the fourth consecutive year for the event, a uniquely designed Fijian tourism experience for international buyers.
Tourism Fiji, the country's tourism authority, said a number of buyers from China, the United States and Britain were part of the event.
Hosted by Tourism Fiji on May 4-5 at the Denarau Island Convention Centre at Sheraton Fiji Resort, the event provided a platform for partners in the tourism industry to engage directly with international buyers and travel media.
FTE therefore brings the international travel trade right to the doorstep of tourism industry operators.
Over these two days of appointments and schedules, international buyers and media will have the opportunity to meet and engage with the Fijian tourism industry.
