YANGON, May 18 (Xinhua) -- Patron of Myanmar's ruling party National League for Democracy (NLD), U Tin Oo, has been hospitalized since near midnight Wednesday after he fell unconscious in the bathroom due to slip.
U Tin Oo was sent to Yangon General Hospital at about 11 p.m. local time Wednesday, where he has been under urgent medical treatment, Myanmar media reported Thursday.
His conditions improved during the night but he is still unable to speak and open his eyes on Thursday, according to the hospital.
U Tin Oo was once vice chairman of the NLD since its establishment in late 1988.
