BANGKOK, May 23 (Xinhua) -- Eighteen pupils of a primary school in Thailand's northwestern Tak province were injured by lightning on Tuesday.
According to Bangkokbiznews, the pupils of Ban Mae Klong Yai School were playing under a big tree outside their classroom when the lighting hit the tree at about 3 p.m. local time.
They were rushed to hospitals afterwards.
The pupils mostly suffered numbness and temporary deafness while 12-year-old Tong Saesong suffered serious injuries.
