Belarus condemns Egypt terror attack

MINSK, May 26 (Xinhua) -- Belarus condemns terrorist attack in the Egyptian province of Minya, which killed dozens of people, the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Friday.

The statement said that no purpose can serve as an excuse for such inhuman acts directed against unarmed and innocent people.

The Belarusian side expresses its sincere condolences to the families and friends of the victims and wishes them a speedy recovery.

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko also sent his condolences to Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi. In his message, the Belarusian leader said that the ruthless killing of people is a crime that will never be forgiven.

The head of state expressed his confidence that such actions will not prevent the elected leadership of Egypt from the course on strengthening peace and stability in the country.
