LONDON, May 30 (Xinhua) -- Wigan road in Manchester was evacuated for second time in a week after bomb squad called, Sky News reported Tuesday.
People have been told to leave their homes in part of Wigan for the second time in five days after the bomb squad was called out.
Officers are understood to be continuing to search a house in Springfield street, Swinley, which was the centre of a bomb scare on Thursday.
Wigan Lane, between Central Park Way and Cherry Gardens has been closed, the Wigan Post newspaper reported.
Greater Manchester Police asked members of the public to avoid the area.
The army bomb disposal team has been seen driving through the cordon in the last half an hour.
It comes as the police cordoned off the area around High Wycombe train station and armed police were seen in the area.
It is not known if that is connected to the Manchester Arena investigation.
