PARIS, June 2 (Xinhua) -- French President Emmanuel Macron denounced on Thursday evening the decision of U.S. President Donald Trump to pull the United States out of the Paris climate accord.
He said his American counterpart had made "an error for the interests of his country and his people, and a mistake for the future of the planet."
"We will not renegotiate a less ambitious agreement, in any way," said the French president in a speech delivered at the Elysee Palace, just around two hours after the announcement made by Trump.
