BEIJING, June 8 (Xinhua) -- China strongly condemned the twin terrorist attacks in Tehran, Iran, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said on Thursday.
Suicide bombers and gunmen attacked the Iranian parliament and Ayatollah Khomeini's mausoleum in Tehran on Wednesday, killing at least 13 people and wounded 43 others, according to Iran's Interior Ministry.
"We extend our condolences to the victims and express our sympathy to the wounded and the relatives of the victims," Hua told a routine press briefing.
Stressing that China opposes terrorism in any form, Hua said China is willing to cooperate more with the international community to fight terrorism.
She added that there had been no reports of casualties of Chinese citizens in the attacks.
