GUIYANG, June 30 (Xinhua) -- Flooding has left 10 people dead and four others missing in southwest China's Guizhou Province, according to provincial authorities.

Heavy rain has inundated the province since June 22, affecting nearly 200,000 residents in 30 counties, districts, and cities.

Flooding has damaged more than 60,000 hectares of crops and damaged or destroyed over 7,000 residential buildings.

The local government has set aside a relief fund of 9 million yuan (1.33 million U.S. dollars) for 20 severely affected counties.

The provincial meteorological department has forecast more storms during the upcoming weekend. They warned of a high risk of flooding and geological disasters in mountainous areas.

Downpours also hit the city of Huaihua in neighboring Hunan Province from Thursday to Friday.

As of Friday afternoon, a total of 58,000 residents had been relocated due to the flooding, according to Huaihua flood control headquarters.
