ISLAMABAD, July 4 (Xinhua) -- Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said here on Tuesday that the country's power shortage situation will be soothed with the completion of energy projects of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
The prime minister made the remarks during the meeting with Nur Bekri, vice chairman of China's National Development and Reform Commission.
Sharif also expressed thanks to the Chinese leadership for the supports to CPEC projects.
Nur Bekri, who also serves as the director of China's National Energy Administration, said the Chinese energy authority will implement the important consensus reached by leaders of the two countries to continuously strengthen bilateral energy cooperation so as to push forward the construction of CPEC to make the projects benefit the two peoples.
