HANOI, July 6 (Xinhua) -- China Beijing BAIC Motor on Thursday suffered a defeat at the fifth-place playoff of the 2017 AVC (Asian Volleyball Confederation) Men's Club Volleyball Championship which concluded here in Vietnam's northern Ninh Binh and Nam Dinh provinces.
China Beijing BAIC Motor lost 3-1 to Iraq's Al-Bahri with the scores of 14-25, 14-25, 25-19 and 22-25. In the seventh-place game, Vietnam was defeated 1-3 by Chinese Taipei' s Taichung Bank with the scores of 25-11, 20-25, 22-25 and 17-25.
Iran's Sarmayeh Bank topped the tournament on Thursday after steamrolled Japan's Toyoda Gosei Trefuerza 3-0 at the scores of 39-37, 25-14 and 25-23.
Meanwhile, Qatar's Al Arabi downed Kazakhstan's Altay 3-1 with the scores of 22-25, 25-13, 25-10 and 25-19.
Iran's Sarmayeh Bank will represent Asia at the 2017 Men's Club World Championship slated for December in Poland. Enditem
