RAMALLAH, July 10 (Xinhua) -- A Palestinian was shot dead by Israeli soldiers near Bethlehem city in the West Bank.
Israeli military spokesman said in a statement that the Palestinian man was shot because "he attempted to ram Israeli soldiers in a car and then got out to stab them."
Since October 2015, a wave of violent tension has been going on between Israel and the Palestinians, leaving over 300 Palestinians and over 40 Israelis killed, according to official Palestinian and Israeli figures.
