KABUL, July 11 (Xinhua) -- Afghan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani on Tuesday once again called upon Taliban militants to give up fighting and join the peace process.

"The time is running out and Taliban would lose the chance for talks," the president said at a press conference here in Presidential Palace, adding the Taliban does not have the ability to achieve their malicious designs.

"Terrorist is terrorist and we cannot divide it into good and bad," the president said, stressing that interference into Afghanistan affairs must be stopped.

He expressed hope that talks of Quadrilateral Coordination Group (QCG), which includes Afghanistan, Pakistan, China and the U.S. that halted in May last year, would be resumed to yield the desired results.

Ghani also stated that his government is determined to bring about lasting peace and stability in Afghanistan.
