Philippine president wishes to extend martial law in Mindanao until Dec. 31, 2017

MANILA, July 18 (Xinhua) -- The spokesman of Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte, Ernesto Abella, said on Tuesday that Duterte wishes to extend martial law in the entire Mindanao until December 31, 2017 to allow the security forces to quell terrorism in the southern Philippines.
