RAMALLAH, July 30 (Xinhua) -- At least 140 Jewish extremist settlers guarded by occupation forces stormed Sunday Al Aqsa Mosque through Al Magarba gate and carried out provocative acts inside the mosque, the MENA news agency reported.
The Israeli forces arrested member of Waqf's reconstruction committee Raed Zughair in the mosque in the vicinity of Al Majlis gate, said Head of Islamic Endowment's (Waqf) public relations and media department in Al Quds Firas Al Dibs in a statement.
The Israeli police checked the identity of worshipers entering the the mosque, Al Dibs added.
