JAKARTA, Aug. 18 (Xinhua) -- Wushu athletes from Indonesia have eyed to win three gold medals in the 29th SEA Games this month in Malaysia, an association official said here on Friday.

The target was made based on the latest performance and capability of the athletes after they underwent a training program in China, chairman of the Indonesian Wushu Association Airlangga Hartarto said.

"All our Wushu athletes have a spirit of champhion. This is the time to prove it to the public by achieving the best achievement," he said in a statement.

Hartarto, who is also Indonesian industry ministry minister, promised those securing medals in the regional sport event huge financial rewards.

The achievement in the SEA Games will be a barometer for Indonesia to compete in the Asian Games next year in the country and the Summer Universiade in China.

The 29th SEA Games is scheduled from August 19 to 31 in Kuala Lumpur of Malaysia.
