HANOI, Aug. 18 (Xinhua) -- Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang and Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on Friday sent their messages of condolences to Spanish King Felipe VI and Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy respectively over the deadly terror attack in Barcelona.

The attack happened Thursday on a busy street in Barcelona, killing 14 people and injuring about 100 others.

Also on Friday, Vietnamese foreign ministry's spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang expressed deepest sympathy to the state, government and people of Spain and families of the victims.
