TIANJIN, Aug. 23 (Xinhua) -- Liaoning and Jiangsu both collected their second win in a row here on Wednesday in the women's volleyball tournament of the 13th Chinese National Games.
Following an opening 3-1 victory over Shanghai on Tuesday, Liaoning went on to beat Beijing 25-17, 25-12 and 25-18 in 70 minutes to lead the standings in Group B with a 2-0 win-loss record.
In Wednesday's other match of Group B, Shandong lost to Shanghai in five sets.
In Group A, Jiangsu overpowered Fujian 25-15, 25-12 and 25-16 for their second victory in two days while the hosts Tianjin dropped to Zhejiang 3-0.
Eight teams are competing at the Chinese National Games women's tournament with the group placings of the round robin preliminaries to decide the matchups of the teams in the elimination stage.
